On May 28, the 12th China Satellite Navigation Conference came to a successful end at the Conference Center of Primus Hotel Nanchang International Expo City in Jiangxi Province, after the holding of summit forums, academic exchanges, high-end forums, CSNE and popular science activities etc.
At the opening ceremony of the 12th CSNC, He Yubin, Chairman of China Satellite Navigation Committee, Yang Changfeng, Chairman of Scientific Committee of the 12th CSNC and Chief Designer of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System Project, Liu Qi, Secretary of CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Director of Standing Committee of Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, delivered speeches onsite. Savilyev, Deputy General Manager of Roscosmos, was entrusted by the Russian Chairman of Sino-Russian Project Committee on Important Strategic Cooperation in Satellite Navigation to deliver a written speech.

During the opening ceremony, the "Beidou Award", specially established by the Scientific Committee of the Conference, was presented to Tan Shusen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Senior Engineer of Beijing Satellite Navigation Center and Dr. Han Shaowei, President of Wuhan Navigation and Location Service Industrial Technology Research Institute, as well as a number of awards in academic, application and popular science categories.The 12th China Satellite Navigation Expo was held at the same time and comprehensively displayed the achievements of BDS construction and application and industrial development through enterprise interaction, academic interaction, talent interaction and mass interaction.

At this year's Conference, representatives from the satellite navigation system authorities of China, the United States, Russia, the European Union, Japan and other countries and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs introduced the latest progress of their respective satellite navigation systems and the work carried out by the United Nations in the field of satellite navigation.
In order to allow users to better use BDS, the English and Chinese versions of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System Open Service Performance Standard (Version 3.0) were officially released during this year’s Conference, updating the RNSS service on the basis of the Version 2.0 document and adding RSMC, PPP, SAR and GAS services.
